How To Live an Awesome and Meaningful Life

The goal of this course is to help students become better at thinking through philosophical questions that likely matter to them as a college student.

How can we have a healthy relationship with our phones? What does it mean to live a meaningful life? How do we determine what kind of career is worth having? How much money do we need to be happy? What is the value of getting an education? And, how do we be awesome and not suck?

Social Media and Society: Beauty, Knowledge, and Division

Social media has become the dominant model for content on the internet.  This course focuses on the ways that the design of social media environments shapes the way we learn about the world (epistemology), the ways we engage with each other (ethics and political philosophy), and how beautiful the world is (aesthetics).
